Create + Connect

2 Minute Interviews

Partner 1— Ask as many questions as you can in 1 minute flat. Stretch your brain and your creativity. Think of things you don’t already know the answer to.  The weirder the better.

Switch!

Partner 2—It’s your chance to be a detective. What have you always wanted to know? Have they ever swam in Lake Superior? Can they make sourdough?

Stop!

Share with us something you learned about your partner.

Blind Portraits

Strike a pose!

Put your pencil on the paper and draw your partner without looking! Just the contour. No details. One continuous line. Remember—there’s no right or wrong in art. It’s subjective. Even if you wind up looking like a rooster.

Passions + Curiosities

Divide your paper. Put Passions on one side and Curiosities on the other. Team up and share the page!

Passions—List what you love: Insects. Linguini. Rugby. Parcheesi. Anything and everything.

Curiosities—List what makes you curious: Given all the time in the world, what would you do? Where would you go? Would you take up welding? Pastry baking? Open a dog sanctuary?

Mixed-Media Memory Collage

Feel free to bring things to inspire you—photos, recipes, ticket stubs, a poem, a handwritten note—anything that is meaningful to you as individuals and partners. Something that tells a story. Something that feels like you.

Ready—Set—Collaborate!

Use your lists, your blind portraits and anything you brought from home to create a Mixed-Media Memory Collage. Cut and paste and draw all over your canvas. Share the space. Consider the design, the balance. This work is commemorative—tell the story of a funny moment, a favourite movie, song lyrics, a sweet memory—show us who you are. Collage your connection!
