The Raise-an-Artist Project is an Arts Education and Arts Advocacy program. It began in 2006 with Jenny, an artist, writer, mentor and her OAC grant that bridged diverse communities. It then grew into its own community. Today, The Raise-an-Artist Project offers Art Class, Art School, Art Camp and Raise-an-Artist in Your Community. The studio is a space to play, to create, learn new skills, share stories, make friends, and receive guidance. This is a place to belong to; a place to return to. Many artists come back to volunteer, complete school placements, participate in art shows, collaborate with Jenny, and work as instructors. Together, we promote inclusion, coach creativity and celebrate curiosity.
